Let's work together
I work on research, design, measurement, and implementations that move organizations forward. I can see all the moving pieces and the bigger vision, translate it across teams, and get it done.

My projects focus on improving products and services, and the operations and systems within the teams that manage them. If you have a specific problem to solve, a new offering to launch, a feature, product or service to improve, or changes to service teams for improving beneficiary outcomes, I'm here. I want to make sure what we’re doing resolves real problems, helps people, is tangible, and you can see results quicker to guide your next move. Not sure what specific work that includes? See my skills.
Your next big project
I'm good at jumping into new environments, quickly understanding where things are at and getting things done. It's usually work concentrated on research to understand a market or needs, strategy to bring a clear direction to your product or service, outcomes and impact measurement strategy (where we'll cover a theory of change and/or product goals and metrics), education journeys with learning outcomes, developing applications, services or products with clinical or academic experts, or designing projects for behavioral change or specific engagement. It might also be picking up a bunch of things that need doing such as defining product operations and processes, feature evaluation, data and channel insights, pitch decks, impact marketing, positioning work, and accessibility reviews. Have a peek at my portfolio for more.
Approach
I’m direct, thoughtful and efficient. I like to keep things simple, straightforward, and focused on the problem or goal while accounting for complexity and nuances. I prefer an iterative approach and am happy working collaboratively and autonomously. We'll always share an open communication channel, and we'll use a couple of tools to streamline, manage the work, and collaborate.
Rates
I charge by the day and scope work accurately with you while agreeing to a timeline. We’ll always have an agreed budget in place, and how we will work together, so you know exactly what you’re getting. My day rate varies at €650 - 950 depending on the organization size, funding sources, and what the project involves. Projects typically run five to thirty days with an average project cost between 5 to 25k. You can opt to receive and pay invoices in Euro, USD or GBP.

If you’re dealing with a service, product, design, charity or research problem, you’re seeking advice on some specific trade-offs or ideas, you want feedback on a design, or you want to pick my brain on one of the subject areas you see on my site, this session is for you. We’ll meet for twenty minutes so we can say hello and I can more deeply understand your situation. I will then spend some time thinking this through and pulling anything relevant together while you book the second session (usually one week later). At this time slot we will spend one hour discussing the ideas and solutions and chatting through any implications and implementation. I'll check-in to see how you're going one month later.
Audit breakdown
I’ll audit your product, digital learning course, website or app, and create a clear, actionable report within two weeks from the start date. Each item will be tagged with a priority level and I’ll spend more time on the areas you know are causing issues, where you're focusing your roadmap, or where you’d like to gain more insight. I will concentrate on items that are more likely to move you forward, hit goals, and have measurable impact. You will be provided with practical solutions that are tailored to your resources and team size.
Make an impact
If you'd like your small business or startup to make a positive impact on community, people, or planet, I'll work with you to design where you can best do this, how it ties into your interests and business, making sure it is effective impact and avoids unintended consequences, which cause campaigns you can align with, supporting you in the establishment with the right operations or local partners, and how to message and market it ethically to your audience. This is for businesses whose core business model is not the impact itself. We'll spend two to three months together getting you to a place where you can launch it.

Why work with me
I have worked on hundreds of projects in this space and still give a shit. I adore getting to the core problems and making good change, or something new. I have deep experience in many areas meaning I can jump from one thing to another to create the most useful outcome for you. I have read (and worked with) countless academic papers, scientific essays, and clinical needs documents, and translate these to the real world. I also spent years coding and have managed engineering teams, so I enjoy collaborating with engineers, am able to make this work smoothly, and grasp the trade-offs that need to be made.
I know where I can help and where it’s better passed over to someone else. With well over two-hundred projects completed, I’ve got my processes refined and have worked with all kinds of teams, stakeholders, academics, clinicians, nurses, scientists, messy problems, and expertise. I've researched and worked with members of the public from all different countries, backgrounds, and generations. I know things can quickly change so I try to match where the energy is needed and what will help free you up and propel you forward by quickly pivoting when required. I often end up working with clients on other projects when they need it; it's wonderful to have relationships like this and I'm really grateful for it.
Who I usually work with
I work with small to medium sized businesses, not for profits, startups, and social enterprises genuinely trying to do good things. I usually collaborate closely with product teams, founders, executives, service delivery departments, clinical teams, impact divisions, scientists, and academics whilst often having a touchpoint with commercial teams or marketing. I don’t generally work with enterprise size unless it’s a division within the company that is able to act outside of hundreds of legacy processes and bring impact to life. I'm largely technology and code agnostic (noting that some are restrictive, and many guides us to work in a specific way). If my work piques your interest, I’d love to chat with you.
Talks, workshops and interviews
I absolutely love providing participatory workshops. I’ve done many of these in all kinds of spaces across the world, with a vast array of job roles and business types tiny to large. I adore our time together, and then give myself a day off after it to spend alone eating pizza and watching silly shows. If you’re looking for someone to run a workshop at your event or your organization, please do reach out with your needs or ideas. I generally run workshops as a morning or afternoon session of four hours, one day, or up to three days depending on the goals.
Workshops are generally centred on employee and customer experience where employees are carrying out key services (such as nursing, doctors, or teachers), product direction, building for the future, creating hypotheses and experiments for impactful changes, specific product, company, marketing/sales or user challenges, strategy planning, feature development, impact measurement, or systems thinking and change. For small businessess or freelancers they can also be on running your business, branding, marketing, revenue, products and more.
I very rarely give talks. I generally prefer being behind the scenes, and it's something you need to do a lot to do really well. There are some amazing women and non-binary folks from all backgrounds and locations that will do a much better job than me, but you’re always welcome to try and convince me for your event. I’d love to see what you’re running even if I do politely decline (I might be able to recommend someone though).
