What I'm doing now
This is a now page inspired by Derek Sivers.
Updated 12 April 2025 from a summer week as spring begins.
Working: with clients and projects at Orbit29 in the health space. It's been a couple of years and I feel so very grateful for this. At the moment, I'm spending particular time on a project I really enjoy where my brain is getting a good workout.
Personal projects: building out this site with case studies and a few little fun pages I'm tinkering with on the backend. Supporting my musical partner launch his album. I don't think I'll pick up a bigger project on my backlog until these two are done!
Reading: multiple books but currently finishing up Rosa Candida, an extremely soft book in amongst my heavy hitters. Moi qui n'ai pas connu les hommes is so good, so short, and makes me want to throw up.
Spending: much more time in the sunshine on the grass, by the water, in the countryside. Recently attempting to find a carnivorous plant.
Listening: to a lot of Actus du jour.
Watching: the MotoGP each weekend it appears. I don't have streaming apps so I'm trying to work out if I'd like to rent a series occasionally. I miss Blockbuster. This feeling is becoming stronger. We had it so good.
Recently: discovered a bubbly cava mixed with fresh raspberry compot at a country café.
Regularly: going to singing classes (still can't sing but learning how to make a head voice and my lung voice), exercising (getting fit for those mountain hikes), cooking (always), eating cookies.
Haphazardly: knitting things that are far too complicated for me, pinning lakes to places to visit, scribbling down draft poems, working out how to see West Africa, dancing in the street to a drum beat band.
Helping: my mum with a million life admin tasks. I really wish this is the work we'd decided to improve for our wellbeing, not generating AI art.
I still can't believe: that we cannot just delete Apple apps. I have never used any of them. Especially not Chess. And also, you know, the entire state of our world.
Looking forward to: a camping trip, a friend's wedding, full waterfalls, another Ewan and Charley adventure, no more wars?
